Life at Maur Hill-Mount Academy

Testing the New Art Teacher

We have a wonderfully dedicated crew of teachers who want the best for their students. Their dedication is so intense that they will not let anyone teach them anything without first vetting the teacher themselves.

Our brand new art teacher, Lara Wallace, was, of course, up to the task and demonstrated the Maur Hill-Mount faculty what their students will be experiencing in the art room this year. Through diligent work and consumption of cheese, cracker and cookies, our teachers emerged victorious. Mrs. Wallace worked through the summer to transform the art studio into a place of creativity, imagination and clean floors. Since beauty is one of the ways to reach the heart and feed the mind, we are excited to see what Mrs. Wallace and her students will create through the year. Stay tuned to Raven Roost to find out.

Meanwhile here are few action shots of Mrs. Wallace patiently teaching and MHMA faculty being amazing students:

Here is a magnum opus that was painted by an anonymous teacher:

If you are not still not sure what an amazing teacher Mrs. Wallace is, here is a picture of her mastery of color-coding:

If you are still not sure, she has a poster for you in the studio:
